Maye Musk Flexitarian Diet Reasons

The eating style has been defined as a style that promotes plant-based meals and eats meat in limits. It is thought to be more "flexible" than vegetarians.

Why She Follows a Flexitarian Diet

She Said When 1979 I got divorced the meat was not affordable to me even fish and or chicken.
"And so I decided to serve the children bean stew. As well as they say, they grew tired of my bean stew. But I deviated from it. I utilized a variety of beans and plenty of veggies. I also provided them with fruits in time. Of course, we could never afford organic or anything similar.

"Whole wheat bread is also provided... In South Africa, the government provided subsidies for brown bread. We only had brown bread because white bread was more expensive.
Naturally, it also kept us all healthy. After that, we started the morning with fruit and porridge."

I remember Elon once saying, 'I always wanted Coco Pops, but we only got Raisin Bran.  She said as she laughed. "Well, the thing is, Coco Pops were more expensive and less healthy, so that's what [my kids] got. And if they protested, I did not listen.
  • Then my daughter Tosca commented that she had always liked apricot jam, but it was more expensive than strawberry jam, so she did not acquire it either.
  • I left home for university because I was tired of your bean stew.

"They actually laugh about how funny I am, yet I’m also not an excellent cook," Musk said. "Kimbal also picked up cooking for that reason. He enjoys eating delicious meals. It's acceptable for some people to simply detest cooking. Simply put, you eat what you enjoy. At home, I mostly eat vegetarian food."

  • Musk has cut back on his consumption of bean stew. She did eat a lot of fresh produce because, as she pointed out, it becomes increasingly important as you age.

  • She said I am foody it is important to me for my body to keep healthy and my skin glowing. Further, when my kids visit we mostly go out for meat fish, or chicken. More she said, Tosca and Kimbal really love cooking and also I cooked delicious meals.

"When it comes to desserts in restaurants, I take a teaspoon," she explained. "If it tingles in my mouth, I will eat half of it. But if it doesn’t, I don’t eat it."

Musk also strongly advocates for maintaining a daily active lifestyle. She emphasized that discovering straightforward workouts that can be done at home is crucial for beginning a new routine and staying committed to it.

Still, Musk is not afraid to indulge in moderation.

"I walk my dog three times a day, although she sniffs more than she walks," she chuckled. "At night, I do exercises while Face Timing my twin sister – she lives in Canada. I usually spend 30 minutes to an hour working out at home. I used to push myself hard, but I ended up getting injured. It turns out you can overdo things.
I used to aim for extreme fitness, but I've learned that you don't need to push yourself to the point of pain. Just staying active is sufficient."
Musk has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about how to look nice in front of the camera over the years. She uses them without fear.
"I'm fine looking my way," she clarified. "I do not think I have many wrinkles, but in the midday sun without makeup? Yeah, I look my age. However, if I don't like the lighting in a photo, I'm willing to employ filters.

"I think once every three months, somebody says, ‘You’re old,’" she continued.

"I think women just have to realize that as you get older, you do get wiser," Musk told me. "You can become more aware of potential exploiters and avoid negative circumstances. Even if you have to write down how you want to make a change, you must make one.
For those who are hesitant about rocking a swimsuit this summer, Musk has some advice.

"Go to the beach and look at the men," she told me. "Do males care? Are they insecure? They will be in little shorts and displaying themselves, believing they are great. Women should do the same. You must enjoy your time at the beach. It's enjoyable to do that. And if someone insults you, return the insult right away.

"It's strange that a man can insult a woman when he looks significantly worse than her. I'm not sure why we accept that. And if other women are insulting you, you do not have to associate with them. But you have to feel good about yourself when you go for a swim."

What are some other benefits of a flexitarian diet?

  1. Healthier Heart: By emphasizing plant-based foods, flexitarians tend to have lower cholesterol levels and reduced risk of heart disease. The inclusion of legumes, whole grains, and nuts provides essential nutrients and fiber that support heart health.

  2. Weight Management: Flexitarians often maintain a healthy weight due to their focus on fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. These foods are nutrient-dense and filling, helping to control calorie intake.

  3. Reduced Cancer Risk: A diet rich in plant-based foods is linked to a decreased risk of certain cancers, including colorectal cancer. Antioxidants and phytochemicals found in fruits and vegetables play a protective role.

  4. Environmental Impact: Choosing plant-based meals over meat-heavy ones reduces the environmental footprint. Livestock production contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water usage.

  5. Digestive Health: High-fiber foods in a flexitarian diet promote healthy digestion and prevent constipation. Legumes, whole grains, and vegetables provide essential prebiotics for gut health.

  6. Budget-Friendly: Like Maye Musk discovered, plant-based proteins are often more affordable than meat. Beans, lentils, and tofu are cost-effective sources of protein.

Remember, the key is flexibility. You can still enjoy occasional meat while prioritizing plant-based options for overall well-being!
